توضیحات
IGBT ترکيبي از ترانزيستورهاي BJT و MOSFET است. IGBT از نقطه نظر ورودي يک MOSFET و از نقطه نظر خروجي BJT است. BJT و MOSFET داراي ويژگي هايي هستند که از برخي ديدگاه ها مکمل يکديگر هستند. BJT ها در حالت روشن (اتصال) تلفات رسانايي کمتري دارند، در حالي که زمان سوئيچينگ آنها طولاني تر است، به خصوص هنگامي که خاموش هستند.
ماسفت ها مي توانند با سرعت بيشتري روشن و خاموش شوند، بنابراين تلفات هدايت آنها بيشتر است.
